Locale/Tasker Ping Plug-in


Detects if a hostname is reachable. For instance you can detect if a computer is turned on or off on your home network. This condition can be restricted to work on Wi-Fi  only.






 This plug-in is highly customizable:

  • -Hostname or IP address to ping
  • -choose the trigger  to be a “pingable” or “unpingable” condition
  • -choose the timeout
  • -choose the number of retries
This is not a standalone app. It requires Locale or Tasker to work.

For Tasker users: Once installed, you will find this plug-in under the "State/plug-in" category, not under the "Event/plug-in" one.
